Microsoft Announce Forza Motorsport 6

January 13, 2015

xbox-logo-squareWith the new year already underway, Microsoft have taken it upon themselves to announce one of their big tentpole titles for 2015; Forza Motorsport 6. It’ll be arriving exclusively on the Xbox One in 2015, presumably in the final quarter of the year.

The news comes as the North American Motor Show is happening right now in Detroit. While the announcement was incredibly light on details, Microsoft & developer Turn 10 did release a few tidbits. Firstly, the games cover car will be the new Ford GT, and that Ford’s entire perfomance line-up (which includes the Shelby GT350 Mustang, the F-150 Raptor and the aforementioned GT) will be included in the game. Secondly, as 2015 marks the tenth anniversary of the Forza Motorsport series, Microsoft & Turn 10 plan to celebrate the anniversary in some major ways.

“Just as Ford has pushed the boundaries of car technology in GT, Forza Motorsport 6 will embrace that spirit of innovation as our most technically advanced racing simulation to date, offering a fun and realistic automotive experience for both car lovers and gamers”, says Turn 10′s creative director, Dan Greenawalt.

Expect more details come E3 time.
